So guess who doesn’t have a job as a waitress anymore? This kid.

Called them to see if I could come in to take my test since I got out at the salon early today. “Uhh… Did you know you were supposed to work Tuesday morning?” I had TWO managers tell me, VERBATIM, that I would NOT be put on the schedule and could not work another shift until I had taken and passed that stupid ass test. Not only that, ANY other place would have called to tell me that I had a shift that day if I hadn’t shown up. They told me I could come in tomorrow to pick up my paycheck but that they “didn’t really have anything for me right now.”

Eat a dick.

Thought that I was done with test taking after I graduated… wrong. So my job at the restaurant/bar requires that I take and pass a written test before they can give me another shift. I’m required to basically know the menu forwards and backwards, which, I think, I’m alright on. However, I am also required to know all of the alcohol that we carry. That’s proving to be more difficult than planned. Thought maybe typing them out would help. And maybe someone will find a new alcohol they wanna try! Ready? Here they are…

Found my swimsuit for this summer! Yay! I’m so excited to get a new one because I haven’t had a new one in almost two years. The last one I bought was expensive so I just used it for two seasons instead of one. I have my new, super cute bikini on hold at Belk to pick up next week!

Also tried out the new Mac make-up line, “Hey Sailor!”. It’s gorgeous. I’ll definitely be picking up a few products from it. Today I tried one of the eye shadows, the green liner, a lip pencil and gloss, blush, and the highlighting powder. I think I need the liner, blush, and powder in my life.

I’m a Working Girl Now

So I’ve had two shifts now at the salon in town and it is FANTASTIC. It doesn’t feel at all like “work”, it’s just fun. And it’s not like I’m just standing around either; I’m busting my ass the minute I clock in. Everyone there is really nice and super fun. I caught on to everything really quickly and on just my second shift I wasn’t even asking any questions. Was very proud of myself. I work there every Friday and Saturday.

I also started a job at a restaurant. Sort of a sports bar kind of place. It’s a lot of fun too! I’ve had two shifts there now as well. I’m working there Monday through Thursday. I’ll be waiting tables (which I have never done before). There is definitely a learning curve but the two girls that have trained me and the managers are saying that I’m catching on fast, so that makes me feel good. The owner of the restaurant and all of the cooks in the back are from New York. Complete with the heavy accent and the cussing at each other, everyone, and everything. They’re calling each other “cocksuckers” one second and slapping one another on the back the next. They’re a riot. It’s actually hard work! So tip your wait staff well! ;]

Happy Mother’s Day!

Woke up this morning to make my mom breakfast. Had blueberry muffins, sausage, and coffee. It was delish. Got her a one year subscription to Food Network magazine, I think she was excited about it. AND THEN… We went to see Dark Shadows. It was awesome. Johnny and Tim never cease to amaze me.
